Over 60 views and no suggestions for names!

Come on!
Family & Friends, name those people!
Hint: if you're finding it difficult to see the pictures, follow these steps...

  • Right-click the picture you want to look at;
  • Select Open image in new tab  from the menu that appears (see example image) →
  • Select the New Tab and click the image to enlarge it. Note: you may need to use the scroll-bars to view all the image.
I hope that helps and you can now help me identify people in the photographs.

So what now?

It was nice to chat with Melanie last night and to see that see was interested in this project. I'm sure she will contribute when we get to the pictures from her lifetime.
It would also be interesting if people
shared their memories, not just names
I look forward to reading them.
NOTE: I may include them in my book so, let me know if you don't want them included!
REMEMBER: Where I'm not 100% sure of names,
won't put who I think in case it influences your feedback

...and we are off!

Two large bags - dipped in and out - photographs creased, torn, faded, and more - who is that? - I know the face but...
It's no use, I have to start somewhere and this is the first few photographs; collages put together using Diptic and cropped, enhanced etc., where ever I can.

Picture: #1

I know all of these but feel free to say who you think they are...

The next one I need help with...

Picture: #2

How many can you name?

I was going to say who I think they are but, that may influence your view on who-is-who.It's the top left picture and Bessy & Hub's Wedding photograph that has some faces I can't place. Uncle Ol, Uncle Postle etc., no problem but to be fair it was December 10th 1925 - a tad before my birth!
To help I've numbered the next picture.

I look forward to your "Name the Family/Friends" responses...

First steps...

Not so long ago, I was watching a TV programme when one of the characters, who was single, and didn't have any children, said...
"When I die there won't be anyone to remember me!"
The person broke down in tears and, I'd like to think I can understand how he felt.
Soon after this, Chis, my better half, and I went back to the place of my birth to revisit fading memories. Little sister Lynn (Ulph) handed over all of the photographs, and other things, that she had taken from Dads (Alec Dalziel) when he sadly past away.
She had copied what she wanted and they were coming home with me!
I realised, as I flicked through the pictures, how many people there were that I couldn't put a name to and, my own children, let alone our Grandchildren, may not know them, or remember them; I thought to myself...
"That shouldn't happen!"
These family members and friends played an important part in the lives of our family.
Hence the birth of this blog; a blog recording the artefacts as I go through them and providing opportunities for family members/friends/etc., to "fill the gaps" and/or "correct my identifications (if needed).
So Dalziels, Ulphs, Browns, Keens, Pettits, Eagles, Hamiltons, Wreathalls, Clarrys, Coppings, Lasts, oh the list goes on; let's just cut it short and just say, anyone else who can help, watch this space and help where you can!
Oh yes! I'm also writing a book for the Grandchildren, "Granddad's Book" that will include my memories and many of the images I post here.
